Sahaka Playground is a collective of three Asian and three European visual artists based in Phnom Penh, creating together a cross-cultural experimental collaboration towards unpredictable artworks. Each artist had the freedom to play, and have their artwork played, by the artists from the opposite continent, with different concepts and mediums being intertwined and explored. These unforeseeable outcomes, and the visual documentation of the collective process, manifest the dialogues and the relationship built between all of the artists –- two continents, six different countries, a variety of practices from painting to photography, illustration to embroidery. Beyond boundaries, cultural and otherwise, the only common denominator is the Kingdom of Wonders, which we all call home.
